Why did ICER say AstraZeneca’s Baxfendy is overpriced for hypertension?

ICER’s draft report said Baxfendy fails traditional cost-effectiveness standards at its current wholesale price of about $900 for 30 tablets, or $10,800 a year before discounts. The group said its benefits are promising but still inconclusive compared with much cheaper generic blood pressure drugs, which could pressure payer coverage and pricing negotiations.
